Our family has lived on the trails between Lukla and Namche for three generations. We did not learn the Himalayas from a book — we learned them from grandfathers, from the weather, from the small temple bells that ring before the storms come down. When we founded The Himalayan Guides in Thamel two decades ago, our promise was simple: bring the world here, and bring our home to the world with the care it deserves.

Today we craft fewer, deeper journeys for travellers from the United States, the United Kingdom and the Continent — small groups, private guides, transparent pricing, and a quiet pride in doing things properly. The mountains do not require theatre. They only ask that we arrive prepared, and that we leave them as we found them.
